More than 200 people may have been exposed to coronavirus at a West Virginia Planet Fitness after a patron tested positive for coronavirus, health officials say.
Officials are asking anyone who visited the Morgantown location between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on June 24 to quarantine for at least 14 days and watch for symptoms, according to a June 27 news release.
They believe 205 people were at the gym during that time frame. Officials say gym-goers should stay home unless they’re receiving medical care.
“They also should do their best to stay away from others in their household,” Dr. Lee B. Smith, executive director of the Monongalia County Health Department, said. “Ways to do this would be to stay primarily in one area of the home and to wear a mask if you must be around others.”
